On the morning of May 16, the Yuntaishan UGGp Museum was officially opened. Jiaozuo Municipal Committee Standing Committee, Propaganda Minister Jia Shujun, Provincial Land and Resources Department Party Group member, Deputy Director Zhang Xingliao, Deputy director of the Municipal People's Congress Gao Xiaofang, Deputy Mayor of the Municipal People's Political Consultative Conference Wei Chaojie, Deputy Chairman of the Municipal People's Political Consultative Conference Zhang Jingtian, Municipal People's Congress Environmental Protection Committee Director Yang Hwasheng, Provincial Land and Resources Department Geological Environment researcher Li Zhaoming, Municipal Land and Resources Bureau Director Zhong Huixue,Shen Lin, executive deputy magistrate of Xiuwu County Government, responsible comrades of the Municipal Finance Bureau, the Municipal Tourism Bureau, the Municipal Transportation Bureau, the leadership of Xiuwu County, Qinyang City, Boai County government, and the relevant responsible comrades of Yuntaishan Global Geopark attended the opening ceremony.

Yuntaishan Global Geopark Museum is located in the southeast of the main monument of Yuntaishan World Geological Park, with a total investment of 175 million yuan, including geological museum, geological square, water system engineering and geological science popularization training base, covering a total area of 80000 square meters. With the strong support of the provincial Department of Land and Resources, the municipal Party Committee, the municipal government, and departments at all levels, after nearly two years of efforts, the geological museum and square project has been completed, and the water system engineering and geological science popularization training base are under planning and construction.

The museum is divided into three layers, the main hall with a total construction area of 3328 square meters, its shape according to the Chinese character "mountain" and the crust movement deformation evolution, the interior is divided into meeting Yuntaishan, getting to know Yuntaishan, walking into Yuntaishan, exploring Yuntaishan, brilliant Yuntaishan, a total of 11 exhibition halls 156 exhibition panels and 328 specimens.It makes full use of pictures, text, models, objects, movies, virtual reality and other diversified and multi-form high-tech to systematically display the geomorphic evolution and geological characteristics of Yuntaishan World Geological Park to visitors, and popularize the knowledge of geoheritage protection and geological science popularization.

Yuntaishan UGGp Museum is not only a beautiful business card of Yuntaishan Global Geopark, but also an important base for science popularization and scientific research of the geopark, and will contribute to the construction of UNESCO UGGp network and regional economic development.
