The curst of Yuntaishan has been experienced countless transgression and regression. When the sediments in the bottom of sea exposed to the earth, there would be mud crack due to the high temperature and dry environment. Therefore, multiple cracks were formed and sediments packed into the cracks again. After millions of years’ dehydration, concretion and compaction, the Turtle Back Stone was formed.
