Genesis: Over 2.5 billion years of geological evolution. The Songyang movement occurred 2.5 billion years ago at the end of the Taiyan period, and the land crust grew to form the "Moe platform", which formed the crystalline base in the area. In the Middle Proterozoic, the overall rise and fall of the region began, and during the decline period, it was a coastal environment, receiving a large number of land-based debris deposition, forming the quartzite-like sandstone in the area of Wenpanyu and Baijiayan. In the late Mesozoic, with the subduction and interaction of the Pacific plate to the Asian plate, to the late Early Cretaceous, large-scale banding and uplift in the eastern part of the North China plate formed the East Asia-type rift system. As a result of this structure, the park has formed a group of canyons in the background of the rift valley and a peculiar geomorphology surrounded by peaks and cliff walls.
